In our Creative Therapy sessions, I invite you to explore your inner world through the act of creative expression—whether that be through drawing, painting, sculpture, or collage. This process opens a pathway for you to access emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences that may not yet have found words. Through creating, you may come to encounter feelings that lie just beneath the surface—perhaps those that have been hidden or unspoken—along with the judgment, doubt, or fear that may have kept them hidden.
Rooted in the principles of Person-Centered Therapy, these Creative Therapy sessions mirror the deeply empathic and accepting atmosphere I aim to provide in our conversations. The environment I create is one in which you are fully accepted, where your experiences are heard and valued, and where you are free from judgment. Just as in our talking sessions, the goal is to be fully present with you. However, in Creative Therapy, the creative process becomes another way to communicate and understand the self—allowing feelings, insights, and truths to emerge in ways that words alone may not express.
In our sessions, it is not the quality of the art, nor the mastery of techniques that we focus on. It is the experience of making itself—the unfolding of what is inside you as you engage with the materials. The creative process itself becomes the language through which you begin to reconnect with yourself. In this space, there is no right or wrong way to create. The act of creating art becomes a personal exploration, one that is led by your own pace, your own discoveries, and your own internal guidance.
I offer you guidance, tools, materials, and insight, all rooted in deep empathy and understanding. My role is not to direct the outcome but to observe with presence and care, allowing you the freedom to explore, unencumbered by fear of judgment or attachment to results. I believe that, in the safe space of non-judgment, you can begin to access a deeper part of yourself—one that may be hidden or clouded by past experiences or fears.
Whether you are seeking to process difficult emotions, find clarity, or simply explore new ways of self-expression, Creative Therapy provides a transformative experience—a journey toward greater self-awareness, self-trust, and a fuller connection with your inner world.
It offers a new space of connection and discovery, and the potential for joy, playfulness, and trust which comes with it.
